Dem lawmaker slams Fox News: ‘We’re battling misinformation’
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) ripped Fox News as spreading “misinformation” about immigration after an encounter with a constituent.
Swalwell described the incident in a tweet late Friday night, saying that a constituent approached him and accused him of supporting open borders, citing Fox News.
“Scary. A constituent just confronted me and told me I support open borders,” he tweeted. “I told her that’s not true and I’ve never said that. She said ‘@FoxNews said you do.’ ”
