The President of the European Council Donald Tusk has blasted Boris Johnson and David Davis after their shock resignations, and says he hopes their departures will stop Brexit.
Mr Tusk warned their resignations could leave the government facing problems adding these problems could be so great that Brexit could be stopped altogether.
Mr Johnson delivered a dramatic announcement on Monday afternoon saying he would be resigning as foreign secretary , plunging Theresa May’s government into crisis.
The move came just hours after Brexit Secretary David Davis walked out of the Cabinet.
