Russia Responds To New Poisoning In Britain
Russian officials and media have been responding to the news of another nerve agent poisoning in Britain. Two people are critically ill in Amesbury after coming into contact with what police have called a contaminated item. The former Russian intelligence officer, Sergei Skripal, and his daughter, Julia, were poisoned with Novichok nerve agent in nearby Salisbury in March.
Britain accused Russia of being involved in the attack. Relations between the two countries, which have often been strained in recent years, became worse than at any time since the end of the Cold War.
