Trump and McConnell Mend Fences

The president and Senate leader clear the air and signal agreement on direction for the GOP agenda. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell met with Donald Trump Monday at the White House for lunch and a strategy/agenda powwow. The pair emerged to give a brief news conference with Trump stating, “We’ve been friends for a long time. … [We’re] probably now, despite what you read, closer than ever before, and the relationship is very good.
